There are several recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of joint and musculoskeletal problems that can enable early diagnosis and prevention of any long term joint damage. This specialty also encompasses systemic conditions such as vasculitis, SLE (Lupus) and other connective tissue diseases.
Meet the doctors:
Dr. Ginawi joins Mediclinic City Hospital from her position as consultant rheumatologist and osteoporosis specialist in the Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS trusts, UK.  Among other UK positions, she also worked at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, member of the Osteoporosis Society and British Society of Rheumatology.
Dr. Ginawi has more than 12 years’ experience in dealing with most rheumatological conditions including osteoporosis and connective tissue disorders.  Other areas of interest include early inflammatory arthritis and outcome measures in rheumatoid arthritis.
Dr. Ginawi  sees and treats children with a wide range of rheumatic conditions  including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and SLE

Dr. Bhavna Khan is a rheumatologist with more than 15 years of experience.   Prior to joining Mediclinic Middle East, she worked at another private hospital in Dubai. Dr. Khan’s special interests include inflammatory arthritis, osteoporosis, systemic sclerosis, inflammatory muscle disorders, metabolic bone disease, chronic musculoskeletal pain disorders and connective tissue disorders. She has vast experience in the management of rheumatoid arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (Lupus) and treatment with biologic agents.
She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in the UK, the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) and the British Society of Rheumatology (UK). Dr. Khan completed her specialist training at Mersey Deanery in Liverpool and Manchester(UK) and her internal medicine training at Salford Royal Hospitals NHS Trust (UK).
*CBS:  CBS stands for Community-Based Specialist.  This is a doctor who is not a full time employee of Mediclinic Middle East but who has credential privileges to offer outpatient clinics or perform surgeries at a Mediclinic Middle East medical facility. 

Dr. Rogalski is an extremely experienced consultant paediatric rheumatologist who has worked in the field of paediatric rheumatology for 20 years. She has been a speaker at national and international conferences. 
Dr. Rogalski is a visiting doctor with practising rights at Mediclinic City Hospital. In addition to her work in Dubai, she is also a consultant paediatric rheumatologist at her Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic in Bensheim, Germany. 
Dr. Rogalski treats the entire spectrum of rheumatic diseases in children. She has extensive experience in the use of DMARDS (disease-modifying anti rheumatic drugs) and biologicals for treatment of her patients. 
Having a child with a chronic rheumatic disease can be a burden on the family. It is a main focus of Dr. Rogalski´s work that her patients are not impaired by their chronic condition, have a normal physical and psycho-social development, do well in school, can participate in sports and enjoy life.
