Pediatric surgery is a subspecialty of surgery involving surgery of foetuses, infants, children, adolescents,and young adults.

 Our paediatric surgery team

Dr. Ahmed has over 14 years’ medical experience  and joined Mediclinic Welcare Hospital from Ramaiah Medical College and Research Centre, Bangalore where he was Associate Professor, Department of Paediatric Surgery.

He is widely published on the subject of paediatric surgery and had undertaken several research projects.

He undertakes a wide variety of paediatric procedures including neonatal surgeries such as repair of congenital diaphragm hernia, infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, bowel atresias and malformations.  He is also experienced in laparoscopic surgeries such as appendicectomy and and cholecystectomy in children.  Other areas of interest include paediatric and neonatal hernia, undescended testis, paediatric urology, thoracotomy and video assisted thoracoscopic procedures.
