Dr. Abuzakuk is a very experienced orthopaedic surgeon and has been practising for 20 years. He did his initial Orthopaedic training in Dublin at the prestigious Cappagh and Mater University hospitals. He was accepted for higher Orthopaedic surgical training and obtained the Intercollegiate Orthopaedic exam FRCS (Tr&Orth). He was trained in joint replacement and sports medicine and completed a Diploma in Sports Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. Dr. Abuzakuk then moved to the renowned prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, London, where he completed two years of a hip and knee joints replacement and revisions fellowship. At the RNOH, he was also involved in cartilage transplant procedures (ACI & MACI). He also completed an Advanced Fellowship in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty & Revision Surgery at Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust & Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust as a senior arthroplasty fellow. He obtained Certificate of Completion of Orthopaedic (CCT) training from the Royal College of Surgeons. He worked as a trauma orthopaedic, joint replacement & revision and sports injury surgeon at the Royal Derby Hospital. Prior to joining Mediclinic, Dr.Abuzakuk was the Chief of department and a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the American Hospital Dubai for nine years. Dr. Abuzakuk is a regular speaker at local and national meetings and was involved in many research projects. He is involved in training surgeons and also involved in teaching medical students.
