Dr Amit Majumdar graduated in 1994 from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, India.
After completing his postgraduate training in Calcutta in India, he went to the United Kingdom where he completed his Certificate of Training (CCT) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with speciality level research, training and certification in Urogynaecology and Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery. He also has significant expertise in perinatal mental health.
He was the Speciality Lead at the University Hospital of South Manchester, Lead Urogynaecologist and Chief of Gynaecology at Corniche Hospital where he set up super-speciality level urogynaecology service offering all diagnostic, medical and surgical management of women with incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction.
He has more than 70 publications and presentations in urogynaecology and other specialities of obstetrics and gynaecology in peer reviewed journals.
