Dr. Asif Sattar joined Mediclinic City Hospital as a specialist pulmonologist, following 12 years experience in the UK's NHS where he worked as a consultant in Respiratory Medicine. His vast expertise includes treating patient with asthma, emphysema, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease and sleep apnoea.
Dr. Asif Sattar is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, London, and is registered with the Specialist Training Authority in the United Kingdom as specialist in Respiratory and Internal Medicine. While in the United Kingdom, he was trained in several prestigious hospitals including the Leeds teaching hospital, Aintree Hospital in Liverpool and the Birmingham Heartlands Hospital.
Dr. Asif has performed more than 500 fibre optic bronchoscopy of the lungs and his expertise includes transbronchial lung biopsy and lymph node aspiration.
