Summary
Dr Mukhlis qualified and trained at the University of Baghdad, Iraq. After qualifying he moved to the UK where he spent 33 years in active clinical practice focusing on paediatrics and child health. The last 20 years were in the capacity of Consultant Paediatrician in the UK National Health Service (NHS). Dr Mukhlis's special interest is in the field of neuro-developmental paediatrics, which represented the bulk of his workload in the NHS, alongside general paediatrics. His experience was enriched through working in the private health sector, special schools, as well as in the University of Sheffield as a senior lecturer. Dr Mukhlis is a co-chair, member and lecturer in the Paediatric Headache Faculty in the UK. The faculty ran the first training paediatric headache course for paediatricians in the UK.
