Dr Srivalli Kaza has more than 12 years of experience in the field of Ophthalmology.
She completed her basic medical education at Bangalore Medical College, Karnataka University, followed by post graduate training in Ophthalmology from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Government Ophthalmic Hospital, Chennai, Tamil Nadu (1999-2002). She cleared her International Council of Ophthalmology in 2002, followed by a long term fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment at L.V.Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India (2002-2003).
Her core specialities include conditions related to the cornea, including corneal transplants, corneal infections, corneal trauma, dry eye and contact lens cataracts including bladeless cataract surgery, topical phacoemulsification with multifocal IOLs/toric IOLs and complicated cataract cases, as well as refractive surgeries- such as LASIK/PRK/Phakic IOL.
She has presented at various national and international conferences and has several teaching interests as a member of the Education Department at LVPEI where she headed the LVP-Zeiss Academy Training Programme from 2007 to 2010. She was also the training-In charge of the surgical training programme for small incision cataract surgery and phacoemulsification surgery for residents and fellows.
