- Dr. Lisa Jackson qualified from University College London in 1990 and received the MRCGP after vocational training in General Practice in the United Kingdom. Her additional qualifications include the Diploma in Child Health (1993), Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning (1993) and Diploma in Therapeutics (1998). She qualified from King’s College London in Nutrition (1987) and is a Fellow of the Association for Nutrition in the UK.
She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority since 2013 and has extensive experience over 20 years teaching both undergraduates and postgraduates in Family Medicine.
Her experience in the UK includes working as a Partner in Family Medicine in the East of England region of the UK for over 18 years before relocating to Dubai. She has been an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Dubai since 2019.
She practises patient centred Family Medicine, with special interests in Child Health, Adult Diabetes, Nutrition, Medicines Management and Mental Health, and holds dear the principle of excellent communication skills, diagnostic skills and working with patients in partnership. She is happy to see patients at any age and stage of life, and has considerable experience dealing with multiple pathology and polypharmacy in older persons. She was elected Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK in 2015 in recognition of her contribution to clinical practice and education.
