After completing his undergraduate (MBBS) from Stanley Medical College, Chennai, India, Dr. Ramachandran joined a reputed tertiary care hospital in India, Advanced Pediatric Center (APC) in Postgraduate Medical Education and Research Institute (PGIMER), Chandigarh, as a junior resident in MD Paediatrics and senior resident in Paediatrics to pursue his Fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care and DNB Pediatrics by National Board of Examination. Thereafter, he joined as a senior resident in DM Pediatric Critical Care in APC, PGIMER, Chandigarh following as a Research Scientist (Medical) in Pediatric Neurocritical Care.
In 2013, he joined Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry as Faculty in the Department of Paediatrics and worked as Faculty in Paediatric Critical Care, contributing to the creation of the Division of Paediatric Critical Care and the initiation of DM Paediatric Critical Care program, only second after PGIMER in India. He worked as a Faculty, along with other sub-specialities in Paediatric Critical Surgery and related teams. He also developed and obtained accreditation of the American Heart Association International Training Center (AHA-ITC).
