Dr. Govind Benakatti has over 8 years of experience in pediuatric critical care. Previously, he has served as consultant pediatric critical care in India followed by NMC Royal Hospital, AD-UAE. He completed his MD Paediatrics in 2009 and further trained in DM Paediatric Critical Care (2009-2012) from the 'best in the country’ institute, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. He has many publications in national and international journals, has written and edited chapters and sections in books, scientific paper presentations in international conferences, written and compiled many paediatric intensive care protocols, played crucial role in setting up and developing PICU units, and recently played a lead role on Pediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU) preparedness on COVID-19. He has been awarded ‘Young Investigator’ (2012 in EAPS) and ‘Best Abstract award’ (WFPICCS Congress 2014) for his research. He is a board member of international advisory committee and Scientific reviewer to Journal of Pediatric Critical Care (Indian). He is faculty for many pediatric and pediatric critical care training modules such as PALS, BPICC, Simulation, in paediatric emergencies and intensive care. He is an experienced and competent consultant in field of paediatric critical care and in paediatric researches.
