Dr. Sharda is a highly skilled laparoscopic surgeon, obstetrician, and gynaecological cosmetologist. She has more than 20 years of experience. She has previously worked as Specialist and Head of the Department of Ob-Gynae at Saudi German Hospital Dubai (9 years), Specialist at Medcare Hospital Dubai, and Assistant Professor in one of the most reputed institutes, Lady Harding Medical College.
She was trained in laparoscopy surgery at KK Women & Children Hospital of Singapore, Germany, and AIIMS New Delhi. She has acquired her expertise in Cosmetic Gynaecology through a fellowship and postgraduate diploma accredited by the American Aesthetic Association and the University of Greifswald, Germany. She has published many papers in international indexed Gynae journals, including her technique of uterine compression suture (ASSTT). She has presented her work at various reputable national and international Ob-Gynae conferences.
Dr. Sharda performs highly advanced laparoscopic surgeries in complicated Ob-Gynae cases. She routinely performs laparoscopic hysterectomy, cystectomy, the procedure for endometriosis, and ectopic pregnancy; she has removed massive uterus in many patients, and has removed 16 fibroids in one surgery. She is highly skilled in hysteroscopic polypectomy, myomectomy, and endometrial ablation (she has as removed submucous fibroid of 5 cm hysteroscopically). Hysteroscopic procedures are often organ-saving procedures, so only the disease is removed, and the uterus is retained intact. She is an expert in managing severe post-partum bleeding (PPH). She has saved several lives and the uterus using her famous sequential alternate suture tightening technique (published in index journal) during the last two decades. One of the best skills of the doctor is a vaginal birth after a previous one or two cesareans (VBAC -1& 2); only very few doctors consider normal delivery after previous two cesarean sections, and she has delivered many babies after previous two cesareans. She has a keen interest in treating subfertile patients (Infertility) and studies each patient case-to-case basis. She understands their fundamental cause, gives them hope and confidence, and, together with the patient, she does her best to help them conceive naturally. Almost 80-90% of subfertile patients conceive naturally and do not require IVF.
She takes care of patients with growth-restricted babies from the beginning by giving them the right kind of treatment, which helps them grow normal both physically and mentally. For patients with a history of pre-term birth, Dr. Ghosh provides an insight into the cause and treats the cause medically or surgically. Almost all of her patients had passed 34 weeks and delivered a mature baby who required minimum ICU care. She helps patients genetically predisposed to gestational diabetes in controlling their blood sugar by optimum guidance on diet, food, and lifestyle changes. She cares about preventing big babies with diabetes, giving them a better chance for normal delivery. Dr. Ghosh also clears some misconceptions about endangerment to life in patients with hypertension getting pregnant and guides their smooth journey by using safe medicine and preventing complications of hypertension. She understands the physiology and pathology of commonly occurring multiple pregnancies in recent times and gives the best outcome to these patients.
