Mediclinic Middle East has launched a telemedicine service to provide assistance to patients during the Covid-19 crisis.
Mediclinic’s telemedicine service has two parts:
- An on-demand video call with a family medicine doctor, powered by Health at Hand, a Dubai-based telehealth company
- A pre-booked appointment with a specialist of your choice
Family medicine on-demand
Patients who have an urgent health concern or who are unsure whether they need to see a specialist should first consult one of Mediclinic’s family medicine doctors using the on-demand service. This service is available to everyone, regardless of whether you have been a patient at Mediclinic before. The family medicine doctors will be able to either diagnose and treat your condition or refer you to a specialist by video call if required. If they believe it necessary, they may ask you to make an appointment to visit the appropriate doctor in person.
The on-demand telemedicine service is available from Saturday to Thursday, 9am-5pm. For optimal functionality we advise you to use either Firefox or Google Chrome web browsers when opening the link above.
Other specialist by appointment
If you are certain of the type of specialist you need to see, or you are currently under treatment by a particular doctor at Mediclinic Meadows, you can arrange a pre-booked video consultation. If you have not been a patient with Mediclinic before you should first access the mandatory preregistration form (here) and submit your details. One of our contact centre agents will call you to coordinate the consultation. If you are an existing Mediclinic patient and wish to pre-book a specialist consultation, please call 800 1999.
The consultation will last approximately 15 minutes. A family medicine or specialist consultation costs AED225 for cash paying patients.
Direct billing insurance coverage is currently available through the following networks:
- Govt of Dubai
- NGI (HealthNet)
- OMAN INSURANCE
- DUBAI INSURANCE
- ALMADALLAH (Specialist only covered)
- SAICOHEALTH (Specialist only covered)
- EMIRATES (Specialist only covered)
Any co-payment will be applicable as per your insurance policy. New insurers will be added on an ongoing basis and will be updated here. Payment, where required, can be made by credit or debit card after your consultation via an online link which will be sent to you by email or SMS. No card details will be kept or stored by Mediclinic.
