- Dr. Nihal Gonen-Yildirim MD, FRCS (Eng) is a consultant Oncoplastic Breastsurgeon who has worked internationally in reputable hospitals in the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and the United Kingdom.
She is a qualified General and Oncologic Surgeon from the Erasmus University Hospital in the Netherlands (2013). She specialised in Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery at the Oxford University Hospitals and the Royal Marsden Hospital in London where she obtained a wide range of oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery skills, including therapeutic mammoplasty, immediate breast reconstruction and lipomodelling. She worked as a consultant in highly respected institutes in the Netherlands, Norway and Denmark. Before joining the Mediclinic, Dr. Nihal Gonen-Yildirim was working as a consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at the Nottingham Breast Institute in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Nihal Gonen-Yildirim is actively involved in quality and service improvement audits and has contributed to several research projects and publications. She regularly attends national and international meetings and conferences to keep up to date to the latest developments in breast cancer treatment.
