- Dr. Pawel Zwolak is a German and Swiss board-certified orthopaedic and trauma surgeon with more than 14 years of experience in the management of adult spine disorders. He is also a European board-certified orthopaedic and trauma surgeon. Moreover, he is certified as a spine surgeon in Germany and earned basic and master certification in spine surgery in Germany. Dr. Zwolak joined the residency program at University Hospital of Cologne in Germany which is one of best orthopaedic and spine surgery clinics in Germany, and then he continued his orthopaedic training at the University Hospital Zurich in Switzerland, which is one of the leading hospitals in Switzerland. He finished his spine fellowship in Schulthess Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, which is one of the most respected spine surgery departments in Europe and in the world. He then returned to Germany and continued his career as an orthopaedic spine surgeon in one of the largest hospitals in Hamburg, Germany - Asklepios Clinic Altona (630 bed) with biggest emergency department in Hamburg. Later, he joined the Department of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in Krupp Krankenhaus (650 bed) in Essen, Germany where he served as a chief of the spine surgery service. Further he served as senior consultant of orthopaedic spine surgery and managing senior physician in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Ruhr University Hospital of Bochum in Germany. Dr. Zwolak has vast experience in spine surgery and conservative treatment of spine diseases and deformities. He received training in endoscopic spine surgery in Germany and in Korea, Seoul and in Busan. He is specialised in treatment of adult and paediatric spine disorders - injuries, fractures and chronic problems of the spine. In addition, he performs endoscopic and minimally invasive spine surgeries. Moreover, he serves as an editorial board member and reviewer of a number of orthopaedic medical journals.
