Dr Kumar is trained and qualified in Neonatology and Paediatrics in the UK and India. He has worked as a pediatrician for over 20 years including various top UK hospitals such as Alder Hey Children Hospital, busiest children hospital in Europe, had his neonatal training at Liverpool Women’s hospital, which has largest NICU in Europe. He is also trained in Paediatric Neurology and Epilepsy at Kings College Hospital in London, which has the largest neurosciences center in Europe.
Summary
After finishing his paediatric and neonatal training in UK he was awarded CCST (Certificate of Completion of Specialty Training) by UK training board and then worked as Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist at Heatherwood and Wexham Park hospital, a busy 700 bedded hospital in UK before joining Welcare hospital.
Dr Kumar is a Fellow of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH). He has also received MRCP (UK) and an MD in Paediatrics in India. He is also member of British Paediatric Neurology association (BPNA) and British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM).
Dr Kumar has been part of teaching faculty of British Paediatric Neurology association (BPNA) to train paediatricians in Paediatric Epilepsy. He has also been part of Oxford Network of Paediatric Epilepsy.
Dr Mudit is also senior examiner for the well recognized MRCPCH (UK) exams, and has also been the clinical supervisor for Oxford paediatric trainees in UK.
Dr Mudit sees children of all ages with common ailments but with his vast experience and high quality training, he is also managing children with complex medical disorders.
He also provides a specialist service for new born follow ups and children with epilepsy, headache and other neurological problems.
He also counsels women with high risk pregnancies expecting a premature delivery and where the ante-natal scans are suggestive of abnormality in the fetus. And of course he provides full intensive care to all the newborn babies in NICU including the ones born extremely premature.
