- Dr Jumaa Aldhaheri is a highly accomplished, US-trained Interventional Cardiologist with more than 25 years of clinical experience. He has performed over 6,000 cardiac procedures, including complex PCI, TAVI, OCT/FFR, IVUS, CTO and carotid interventions.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr Aldhaheri obtained his MD from Case Western Reserve University, USA, and completed advanced fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Internationally recognised as a pioneer in cardiovascular care, he was the first to introduce Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Military Hospital, achieving outstanding outcomes with minimal mortality and complication rates. As Chair of the Division of Medicine and Senior Lead Interventional Cardiologist at Zayed Military Hospital, he has championed the adoption of advanced physiological and imaging technologies, streamlined the management of complex cases, and significantly enhanced patient safety and outcomes.
Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr Aldhaheri possesses strong commercial and strategic insight into healthcare delivery. His leadership experience includes developing cost-effective procedural pathways, optimising resource utilisation, and collaborating with leading medical technology companies to introduce innovative solutions to the UAE market. He is passionate about engaging with stakeholders across both public and private sectors to expand service capabilities, enhance hospital revenue streams, and ensure sustainable, high-quality cardiac care.
