Investigating the questions that can shape better healthcare, supported by dedicated infrastructure, governance, and academic collaboration.
Mediclinic Middle East brings together clinical expertise, academic collaboration, and active research across our extensive healthcare network. Our portfolio includes studies developed by clinicians and other healthcare professionals, externally sponsored clinical trials, and research with academic partners, supported by teams working across different professions, specialities, and care settings.
That activity spans at least 15 different research groups, including oncology, cardiology, nursing, metabolic, genetics, education, women's health, innovation, and artificial intelligence. Together, they make research a genuinely multidisciplinary part of Mediclinic Middle East, connecting established clinical fields with some of the questions shaping healthcare's future.

The Research Office supports research from concept to completion. Clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals are encouraged to involve the team early, so they can get guidance on study design, governance requirements, and regulatory processes before formal work begins.
Partner with an established academic healthcare provider with active research programmes, experienced clinicians, and the infrastructure to support clinical trials.
Mediclinic Middle East supports sponsored studies across areas including cardiology, oncology, and laboratory science. Our research environment brings together a large and diverse patient population, established university partnerships, research-active clinicians, and infrastructure supporting clinical trials across multiple specialities.
For externally sponsored studies, the Research Office carries out a structured feasibility assessment: whether Mediclinic Middle East has the right patient population, whether suitably qualified investigators are available, and whether the study is commercially and operationally viable.
Where those criteria are met, the organisation moves into formal site qualification involving the sponsor, CRO, principal investigators, and relevant facility teams before ethics review and study initiation.
Develop and deliver research with experienced investigators, university partners, and active clinical environments across the Mediclinic Middle East network.
Mediclinic Middle East offers researchers access to experienced clinical investigators, strong university partnerships, and active clinical environments with diverse patient populations. Our publication record and multidisciplinary approach support genuine academic collaboration, with opportunities for students to participate alongside experienced clinicians. We use TriNetX, a real-world data platform that allows researchers to explore de-identified health data, define patient cohorts, and generate evidence to support clinical research.
With investigator-initiated studies, the Research Office can support study development, research methodology, governance requirements, ethical review, regulatory approvals, and study management.

The annual Mediclinic Middle East Research Conference brings clinicians and researchers together to showcase original research, exchange ideas, and explore new approaches to healthcare.
This year's conference attracted 142 abstract submissions, reflecting the breadth of research taking place across our network. The event celebrated outstanding contributions, encouraged collaboration across specialities and facilities, and highlighted the people and ideas advancing research at Mediclinic Middle East.

See how ethical review, scientific scrutiny, and operational oversight help keep research at Mediclinic Middle East safe, responsible, and well-governed.

Research gives patients the opportunity to contribute to new knowledge that may shape future care. Find out what participation can involve, how we protect your rights and privacy, and what to consider before deciding whether a study is right for you.

At Mediclinic Middle East, students and trainees learn alongside clinicians who are actively involved in research, giving them first-hand exposure to how evidence is developed, challenged, and translated into clinical practice.
