Frequently asked questions

Please bring your Emirates ID or passport, along with your insurance card (physical or digital). This allows our team to verify your insurance details and process your visit as smoothly as possible.

Insurance cover varies depending on your insurer, plan, the treatment you require and the Mediclinic Middle East facility you are visiting. If you're unsure what is included in your policy, you can check with your insurance provider before your appointment. Our team will also verify your insurance benefits before your visit wherever possible and will let you know if there are any limitations to your cover or any costs you may need to pay.

Some consultations, diagnostic tests, treatments and procedures require pre-approval from your insurance provider. In most cases, Mediclinic Middle East will request the necessary approvals on your behalf before your appointment. If your insurer only partially approves your treatment or declines cover, we'll let you know in advance and explain any costs you may be responsible for.

Yes. Insurance cover can vary between hospitals and clinics, even within the same healthcare network, depending on your insurance plan. If you're unsure whether your chosen Mediclinic Middle East facility is covered, we recommend checking with your insurance provider before your appointment. If you still need assistance, our Client Engagement Centre can help verify your cover.

This depends on your insurance plan. If your treatment is fully covered, you may not need to make any payment. If your policy includes a co-payment, deductible or services that are not covered, our team will advise you before your appointment wherever possible. If you need to submit a reimbursement claim to your insurer, we can provide the relevant invoices and supporting documentation after your visit.

Visiting from abroad?

If you're coming to Mediclinic from outside the UAE, insurance payment is handled slightly differently, with payment paths depending on your type of coverage.
