Plan your visit
Discover the support that makes travelling to the UAE for treatment at Mediclinic Middle East easier, smoother, and better coordinated.

Care that goes beyond the hospital
When you're arranging care away from home, there's more to consider than your treatment. Mediclinic Middle East can help coordinate the different parts of your care, from getting the right information to the right clinical team, applying for your medical visa on your behalf, and arranging your travel, accommodation, and arrival, so there's less for you to manage yourself.
You'll have a clear idea of what needs to happen, what to prepare, and who is responsible for each step.
How we organise your care

Preparing for your care
Before any treatment or travel is arranged, our team will need to understand your medical needs. We'll ask you for a copy of your passport, and tell you what other information to provide, which may include medical reports, scans or imaging, recent test results, and details of current or previous treatment.
We'll identify the specialist and Mediclinic Middle East facility best suited to your needs and share your information with the appropriate clinical team for review. If you're looking for a second opinion, this can also be arranged remotely, giving you access to specialist advice without needing to travel.
We'll keep you fully informed throughout, with clear guidance on what's recommended and what happens next, so you can move forward with confidence.
Planning your trip
We can help arrange the practical parts of travelling for treatment: flights, hotel accommodation, airport transfers, and local transport. Rather than having to organise each part separately, you can discuss what you need with the team, and have the arrangements built around your treatment plans. If a family member or companion is travelling with you, their accommodation and transport requirements can be considered too. Any costs relating to travel, accommodation, or transport will be explained before arrangements are confirmed.
Eligible patients can also receive help with the UAE medical visa process, including advice on the documentation needed for their application. Visa eligibility and approval remain subject to the requirements and decisions of the relevant UAE authorities.
A dedicated source of support
Once your care has been arranged, you'll be assigned and introduced to a medical tourism coordinator as your main point of contact. They'll keep you updated on the details, coordinate what needs to be in place before your arrival, and make sure your questions reach the right people.
When you arrive, they'll be there to meet you, help you find your way around the hospital, and make sure you know where you need to be.
During your stay
Our hospitals offer standard private inpatient rooms, as well as VIP rooms and suites for patients who would like a higher level of comfort and service. Depending on the hospital, VIP options can include additional doctor visits and upgraded room service.
The Mediclinic Middle East team can explain what's available where you'll be treated, so you can choose the option that suits you.
If you need help communicating during your care, language support can also be arranged. Services and any charges vary by location, and your team will let you know what is available before your stay.
Coverage and payment
Send us your international policy or insurance card, and we'll help establish how your cover can be used.
If your insurer doesn't work directly with Mediclinic Middle East, they may be able to provide a guarantee of payment through an international assistance company in the UAE.
Consultations are paid for after your appointment, while planned surgery is paid for in advance unless covered by an approved guarantee of payment.
