Prof Dr. Ashraf Alzaabi

Prof. Ashraf treats the common lung conditions, including asthma, COPD, and sleep apnoea, which interrupts breathing during sleep and leaves patients unrested. He also manages more complex conditions including lung fibrosis, where lung tissue becomes scarred, and bronchiectasis, where damaged airways cause repeated chest infections. He places weight on helping patients understand their condition so they can manage it day to day. He holds American and Canadian board certifications in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine and is president of the Emirates Thoracic Society.
