Dr. Bernard diagnoses and manages conditions of the baby before birth, from heart and brain abnormalities to growth restriction, using detailed ultrasound and fetal echocardiography. He is trained in fetal therapy given to the baby in the womb, including transfusion for fetal anaemia and laser treatment for complications of identical twins. He completed a fellowship in maternal and fetal medicine and fetal surgery in France, at Poissy and the Necker children's hospital in Paris, and has published 15 peer-reviewed articles and spoken at international congresses.
