Dr. Faisel performs robotic and laparoscopic surgery for gastrointestinal cancers of the colon, rectum, stomach, and oesophagus, complex hernia repair of every type, anti-reflux and gallbladder surgery, and proctology, using minimally invasive techniques for smaller incisions and a faster recovery. He trained at Johannesburg General and Chris Hani Baragwanath hospitals, lectured at the University of the Witwatersrand, and helped develop laparoscopic surgery in South Africa through training workshops. He now teaches medical students at MBRU.
