About

Professor Mannaerts is one of the most experienced bariatric (weight-loss) surgeons in the region. His focus is on minimal-scar or scarless surgical approaches, which are less painful and offer a quicker recovery, including scarless sleeve gastrectomy. He also has wide experience in the most complex revisional bariatric techniques, used when previous weight-loss surgery hasn't given the hoped-for result. Alongside bariatric work, he is an experienced laparoscopic oncology surgeon with a PhD and over 75 scientific publications.
