Dr. Hussein operates on children from the newborn period onwards, treating inguinal hernias, undescended testes and other urological conditions, pyloric stenosis, diaphragmatic hernias, bowel obstruction, appendicitis, and skin lumps, using laparoscopic and day-case approaches that mean less disruption for the child and family. He trained in Baghdad and Sweden, working as a consultant at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, and has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
