Dr. Katie manages complex physical symptoms for patients living with serious illness, including cancer, and provides emotional support and advance care planning for patients and their families, advocating for their involvement in medical decisions, particularly at the end of life. She qualified from King's College London, held consultant posts across hospital, community, and hospice settings in the UK, and set up the palliative care service at the comprehensive cancer centre at Mediclinic City Hospital in 2019, alongside developing palliative care teaching in the UK and UAE.
