Dr. Mohammed treats narrowed or blocked heart arteries, from heart attacks to complex chronic total occlusions, using catheter-based procedures that avoid open surgery and shorten recovery. Volume matters in this work, and he has performed more than 5,000 coronary interventions. He also fits pacemakers and defibrillators, including biventricular devices for advanced heart failure, and performs TAVI, replacing a faulty aortic valve without opening the chest. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society.
