Dr. Mohamed opens blocked and narrowed heart arteries with angioplasty and stenting, treating sudden heart attacks and long-standing coronary disease. Volume matters in this work: over his career he has carried out more than 40,000 coronary angiograms and 18,000 angioplasties. He also manages heart failure and rhythm problems and works to lower cardiac risk. He spent his career in the UAE, where he helped establish interventional cardiology in the private sector and opened one of its first catheterisation labs. He received the Emirates Cardiology Society's Lifetime Achievement Award.
