Dr. Nagwa treats the autoimmune and joint conditions that cause long-term pain and stiffness: rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Behcet's and Sjogren's syndromes, and osteoarthritis, particularly of the knee. Her treatments range from biological therapy to hyaluronic acid and PRP injections, guided by ultrasound to reach exactly the right spot. A lecturer in rheumatology at Suez Canal University and former acting chief of rheumatology at Mafraq Hospital, she sits on the scientific committee of the Emirates Society of Rheumatology's annual conference.
