Dr. Obaid performs adult cardiac and thoracic surgery: coronary artery bypass both on and off pump, aortic and mitral valve operations, general thoracic procedures, and paediatric and congenital heart surgery, alongside an interest in developing cardiac programmes. His clinical PhD on aortic valve surgery is from Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, and he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons with membership of the Royal College of Physicians of London.
