Dr. Rana diagnoses and treats acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease, working to catch problems early and slow their progression so patients keep more of their kidney function for longer. She manages glomerular disease, electrolyte and fluid imbalances, and dialysis, and looks after patients before and after a kidney transplant with close, continuing follow-up. She trained in internal medicine and then nephrology at the American University of Beirut and is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, with several academic awards and posts across her career.
