Dr. Raqwana Baharoon

Dr. Raqwana uses molecular imaging to find and treat cancer. She has extensive experience with PET-CT, a scan that captures cellular activity alongside anatomy, revealing disease that structure alone can miss, and uses it to stage cancers, plan treatment, and check response. She also delivers targeted radionuclide therapy, using radioactive compounds to attack cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. Her work extends to advanced cardiac PET-CT, though a particular focus is paediatric nuclear medicine, for which she trained in the UK, tailoring doses and approach to each child.
