Dr. Rosario diagnoses and treats conditions of the blood vessels of the brain and spine from within the vessels themselves, without open surgery: mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke, endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms, AVMs, and dural fistulas, carotid and intracranial stenting, and embolisation of brain, neck, and spine tumours. He also performs cerebral and spine angiography and reports head and spine CT and MRI. He trained in radiology at the University of Catania and worked at the Policlinic Hospital in Messina, one of Italy's main centres for stroke treatment.
