Dr. Shaheenah treats solid tumours including breast, gastrointestinal, lung, gynaecological, and urological cancers, melanoma, and lymphoma. She leads an international precision oncology initiative and introduced targeted therapies such as pembrolizumab to the Gulf for the first time, widening patients' access to novel treatments. Formerly head of the Dubai Health Authority's medical oncology programme, she heads the oncology research programme at Mediclinic City Hospital, is president of the Excellence in Oncology summit, and has published more than 100 papers and book chapters.
