Dr. Sridhar cares for newborn babies who need medical support in their first days and weeks: premature babies from 30 weeks, babies needing breathing support - ventilation is a particular expertise - and babies deprived of oxygen at birth, treated with cooling therapy to protect the brain. His work includes brain ultrasound scans, development assessments, and guiding parents on nutrition through the first year. He spent seven years as a consultant in a major UK neonatal intensive care unit, later headed a neonatology department in Abu Dhabi, and has published peer-reviewed research.
