About
Dr. Wael cares for the most vulnerable newborns, including extremely premature babies and infants needing intensive care. He favours non-invasive breathing support over a ventilator wherever it is safe, gentler on a fragile baby, and provides cooling therapy for newborns affected by a lack of oxygen at birth, with care built on evidence-based protocols and close teamwork around each baby. He completed a neonatal and perinatal medicine fellowship at The Canberra Hospital, University of Sydney, and served as chief of the neonatal unit at one of Kuwait's largest private hospitals.
