Summary
After graduating from the Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, Pakistan, Dr. Faisal pursued his postgraduate studies in the United States.
He passed the US National Board Dental examinations with distinctions before getting a resident position in the specialty of Paediatric Dentistry in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2000, he was successfully able to not only finish his residency but also obtained a degree of Masters of Science in Dentistry from University of Minnesota. He got the status of Diplomat, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2007.
Dr. Faisal served as Assistant Professor, Paediatric Dentistry, at University of Minnesota till 2002 before moving to the Middle East. He served as a specialist and was then promoted as a consultant at Tawam Hospital Dental Center (SEHA).
He obtained a Diploma in Healthcare Administration from Notting Hill College UK (UAE branch). He was actively involved in various Joint Commission International Accreditation related activities and successfully led two chapters in three surveys from Health Authority Abu Dhabi & Joint Commission's team of auditors. He was also head of the division of Paediatric Dentistry for more than three years. He has been involved in developing Health Authority Abu Dhabi's licensure examination process for Padiatric Dentistry.He has also been mentor to a number of Interns when they are going through their paediatric dentistry rotation
Dr Faisal has extensive experience in treating children with severe dental diseases. Currently he has limited his practice to very anxious or fearful children under the age of 6 who need treatment either with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or under general anaesthesia in a hospital setting.
