The Neonatal intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a seven-bedded unit which provides around the clock medical and surgical services. It accepts 28 weeks gestation to term infants requiring level II and III intensive care. The backbone of the NICU is a family-centric approach to care.

We advocate the inclusion of the family in all major decisions. An honest and transparent approach is coupled with extensive communication to ensure complete understanding of all baby’s care activities and procedures. The unit is staffed with highly trained and experienced doctors and nurses and supervised by Consultants with western training and experience.

The NICU is equipped with the most advanced technological equipment for treatment and monitoring. This includes ventilator support inclusive of high frequency oscillation, therapeutic hypothermia, various forms of oxygen therapy, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), total parenteral nutrition and high intensity phototherapy
