The DAISY Award (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary compassionate and skillful care given by nurses every day.

The family of J. Patrick Barnes established the DAISY Foundation after he died from complications of the autoimmune disease ITP. During his hospitalization they deeply appreciated the care and compassion shown to Patrick and his entire family by the Nursing Staff so they felt compelled to say “Thank you “in a very public way.

Mediclinic Middle East and Mediclinic Al Sufouh are proud to be DAISY Award Partners, recognising several of our nurses with this special honor throughout the year. DAISY Award honorees personify Mediclinic’s remarkable patient experience. These nurses consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care. They are recognised as outstanding role models in the nursing community.

This award programme offers patients and families a way to honour our nurses for all they do.
