- Dr. Annett Al-Hamadi is a Breast Surgeon with over 25 years of surgical experience and a strong background in evidence-based breast cancer and oncoplastic surgery. A German Board-certified General Surgeon and European Board-certified Breast Surgeon, she has been part of Mediclinic City Hospital since 2008, where she played a pivotal role in establishing and developing the hospital’s Breast Center into one of the leading multidisciplinary breast units in the region.
She also led the centre’s successful accreditation by the Joint Commission International (JCI), ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, quality and breast cancer care. A graduate of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in Germany, Dr. Al-Hamadi completed advanced oncoplastic training, including a fellowship at the Breast Centre Zurich in Switzerland.
Before relocating to Dubai in 2006, she served as a Consultant General Surgeon at Berufsgenossenschaftliche Kliniken Halle in Germany. Her surgical expertise covers the full spectrum of oncoplastic breast surgery, including breast-conserving procedures, reshaping techniques and breast reconstruction.
Dr. Al-Hamadi’s approach is centred on oncological safety, aesthetic balance and personalised treatment planning. A strong advocate of the multidisciplinary team approach, she works closely with her colleagues to ensure each patient receives coordinated and individualised care. She is actively involved in clinical research, teaching and national oncology meetings, contributing to the ongoing advancement of breast surgery in the UAE.
Known for her patient-centred philosophy, Dr. Al-Hamadi supports her patients at every stage of their treatment journey with empathy, clear communication and meticulous attention to detail.
