- Dr. Faisel Ikram is a highly accomplished General Surgeon and Surgical Gastroenterologist with over two decades of experience in advanced Robotic and Laparoscopic surgery. He is widely recognized for his expertise in complex abdominal, gastrointestinal, and oncological procedures, and is one of the established robotic surgeons at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai.
After completing his surgical training at Johannesburg General Hospital, Dr. Ikram was appointed as a Consultant in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology and served as a lecturer at the Wits Medical School, University of the Witwatersrand. He further completed his sub-specialty qualifications in Surgical Gastroenterology and continued as a Senior Consultant specializing in surgical oncology and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Ikram has a strong commitment to education and surgical training. He has actively contributed to the development of laparoscopic surgery in South Africa through numerous training workshops in basic and advanced minimally invasive techniques.He is also engaged in clinical training for medical students at Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical University (MBRU)
Today, he brings his extensive expertise to Dubai, offering safe, precise, and patient-centered surgical care with a focus on Robotic surgery, gastrointestinal cancers, and complex hernia repair.
