Dr. Aneez performs cataract surgery by phacoemulsification - removing the clouded lens through a tiny incision - and operates on the retina, from retinal detachment repair to diabetic eye disease, laser treatment, and injections. Volume matters in eye surgery, and he has performed more than 1,000 cataract operations and as many vitreoretinal procedures. He trained in Mumbai with a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery, and has worked with the WHO and ORBIS to prevent avoidable blindness, alongside diabetic retinopathy screening and physician training programmes in the UAE.
