About

Dr. Laila treats adults, children, and families across depression, anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia, ADHD, autism, and trauma. She combines medication with psychoeducation and talking therapies, and offers electroconvulsive therapy for severe, treatment-resistant cases, working on the principle that progress begins when a patient feels genuinely understood. She has served with the UAE Ministry of Health and the Kuwait Centre for Mental Health, and through the WHO mhGAP programme has trained GPs and family physicians to strengthen community mental health care.
