Prof. Loai cares for children's kidneys from before birth: antenatal diagnosis of structural problems with parental counselling, congenital conditions such as hydronephrosis and reflux, nephrotic syndrome, hypertension, kidney stones, and acute and chronic kidney disease, through dialysis and pre- and post-transplant care. He trained at Children's National Medical Center - George Washington University, is president of the Emirates Paediatric Nephrology group, chaired the 2023 Asian Congress of Paediatric Nephrology, and publishes internationally on genetic and tubular kidney disease.
