Dr. Shallen treats gum disease surgically and non-surgically, rebuilds lost bone and gum with grafts and guided tissue regeneration, places dental implants, and performs plastic and aesthetic gum surgery, including correction of a gummy smile, much of it laser-assisted. His cosmetic work spans veneers, crowns, and whitening, and he treats jaw joint (TMD) dysfunction. A member of Glasgow's Faculty of Dental Surgery, with international fellowships spanning implantology, laser therapy, and dental sleep medicine, he was named Distinguished Medical Specialist at the 2018 Health Awards.
