Dr. Sharad Kedia

Dr Sharad Kumar Kedia is a Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine with more than 12 years of experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain management, healthcare leadership and academic medicine across India and the UAE. Throughout his career, Dr Kedia has focused on helping patients restore function, manage pain, regain independence and improve their quality of life. His clinical experience covers a wide range of neurological, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, paediatric and complex disabling conditions. He has particular expertise in neurorehabilitation, stroke and spinal cord injury rehabilitation, pain medicine, sports rehabilitation and musculoskeletal interventions. Dr Kedia completed his DNB in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sambhunath Pandit Hospital in Kolkata after obtaining his MBBS from SSIMS and RC in Karnataka. He has further developed his expertise through training and certifications in neurological rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, stroke management, pain medicine, palliative care and radiofrequency interventions. Before joining Mediclinic, Dr Kedia held a number of senior clinical and leadership positions in India and the UAE. His experience includes serving as Senior Resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at AIIMS Jodhpur, Founder and Head of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NIMS Multispecialty Hospital in Jaipur, Medical Director and Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Noor Al Ahli Rehabilitation Center in Abu Dhabi, and Chief Medical Officer and Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Revital Rehabilitation Hospital in Al Ain. Dr Kedia follows an evidence based and patient centred approach to rehabilitation. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams and patients’ families to develop individualised treatment plans based on each patient’s goals, lifestyle and long term functional needs, with a focus on restoring independence and meaningful participation in daily life.
