- Dr Andrea Brockbank gained her medical degree from Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine, London, UK. Her Post graduate training took place in The Mersey Deanery,UK in the National Health Service (NHS) and in Perth in Western Australia. She has over 20 years of experience and is a member of The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London. She holds Advanced Training Certificates in both Advanced Labour Ward Practice and Colposcopy. She has also gained a diploma in Clinical Risk and Claims Management from Capsticks Law firm in the UK. Before joining Mediclinic, Dr Andrea has worked as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist for over five years in Dubai, and had the position of Medical Director in her previous clinic.
She is experienced in providing high risk antenatal and obstetric care, and can manage all types of birth from a normal vaginal delivery, pool birth, instrumental deliveries and Caesarean section births. She also offers pre-pregnancy counselling and advice on previous traumatic birth experiences and recurrent miscarriage.
Complementary to her vast obstetric experience she can also manage a wide range of gynaecological conditions such as dysfunctional uterine bleeding, menopause problems, and family planning. She has a specialist interest in abnormal cervical pathology and colposcopy and holds an Advanced Training Module in this speciality.
Dr Andrea is a true believer in woman-centred care and effective communication, and she is extremely dedicated to and passionate about her speciality.
