- Dr. Zulfiya Mamaeva is a highly experienced consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 22 years of clinical expertise across Russia and Ireland. She is renowned for her commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care in women’s health, with a particular focus on high-risk obstetrics, laparoscopic surgery, and advanced gynaecological procedures.
Dr. Mamaeva earned her medical degree (MD) from Dagestan State Medical Academy in Russia and completed her specialist training and PhD at the prestigious Scientific Centre of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Perinatology, under the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow. She later moved to Ireland in 2003, where she completed her Membership and Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI, FRCPI), along with additional diplomas in Women’s Health and Obstetric & Gynaecological Ultrasound from University College Dublin.
In Ireland, Dr. Mamaeva has worked across all three tertiary maternity hospitals—The Rotunda Hospital, the National Maternity Hospital, and the Coombe Women & Infants University Hospital as well as St. James’s Hospital, the main Oncology centre in Ireland. Her leadership roles have included Lead of Ambulatory Gynaecology Services and Lead for Diabetic Antenatal Care at MRHM. She has also been appointed as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, reflecting her dedication to clinical education and mentoring.
Dr. Mamaeva has performed thousands of deliveries, managed thousands of complex cases, and led innovations in ambulatory hysteroscopic services. She holds Fellowships in Cosmetic Gynaecology and Minimally Invasive Surgery from the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons, with expertise in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures.
