- Dr. Andrew Ives has more than 20 years of paediatric pulmonology experience in many leading UK hospitals, including 10 years as a consultant and senior clinical lecturer at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
He has expertise and experience in treating children with all respiratory problems, including:
• Asthma
• Cystic fibrosis
• Primary ciliary dyskinesia
• Respiratory issues in neurological/neuromuscular disease
• Conditions requiring tracheostomy or non-invasive ventilation
• Wheezing disorders
• Paediatric sleep related breathing disorders
• Chronic cough
• Pneumonia and empyema
• Bronchiectasis
• Interstitial lung disease
Dr Ives is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics in the UK. He is also a member of the British Paediatric Respiratory Society, the British Thoracic Society and the European Respiratory Society.
Dr. Ives studied medicine at the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London, in the UK. He completed Paediatric Respiratory Specialist training at the Royal London Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospitals in London, UK. He also did two years of research at the Royal Brompton Hospital, working with children with primary ciliary dyskinesia. He gained his certificate of completion of specialist training (CCST) in 2010 and is a registered and accredited specialist in children’s respiratory medicine.
