Summary
Dr. Rami Almadi is an American trained Pulmonary Consultant and a holder of the American Boards of Pulmonary diseases and Internal Medicine. He has a combined and diverse experience of over 15 years in the fields of Pulmonary, Internal Medicine and Emergency medicine while working in the states of New York, Rhode Island and Florida.

Dr. Almadi concluded his Internal Medicine residency from an accredited program of Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City.

After graduating, he worked in the same hospital in the capacity of an ER attending physician, in one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the US.
A shift in his career took place when he pursued and received his Pulmonary Fellowship training with affiliation to Boston University.

He then went to a consultant role with a multidisciplinary private group and a teaching hospital affiliated with Brown University in the state of Rhode Island. Later on, he moved to South West Florida with his family, where he was working as a consultant Pulmonologist with one of the largest health care providers in the state.

He is trained in performing diagnostic bronchoscopies, including Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) aided biopsies aimed at diagnosing and staging lung cancers, in addition to other benign entities.
His other interests are interstitial lung diseases (ILD) and pulmonary fibrosis, in addition to the management of chronic respiratory failure, oxygen dependency, chronic obstructive lung diseases (COPD) and asthma.

Obstructive sleep apnea patients were among his patient population he helped establishing the diagnosis and tailoring long-term management.
He also took part in a research project in Temple University, Philadelphia, looking at cellular apoptosis role in COPD progression.

Dr. Almadi is a member of the American College of Chest Physician (CHEST) and the American College of Physicians (ACP) and was involved in the regional and national American Thoracic Society conferences.

Qualification

American Board of Pulmonary Medicine. (Fellowship training in an affiliate of Boston University School of Medicine, USA)
American Board of Internal Medicine. (Residency training in an affiliate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University, NY, USA)
ECFMG Certification.
