Specialist advice, before you plan your travel

With cross-border telemedicine, you can connect with a Mediclinic Middle East specialist and begin exploring your treatment options from wherever you are.

Your medical history, reports, and imaging can be reviewed in advance through an assessment call or a virtual second opinion, giving you an early understanding of the care that may be available in the UAE and what your next steps could look like.

You can begin the conversation, understand your options, and start planning your journey before you travel.

Plan with confidence

  1. Get multidisciplinary expertise
  2. Secure assessment call by video
  3. Virtual second opinion on reports
  4. Specialist-led case review before travel
  5. Find out early if UAE care suits you
  6. Guidance on treatment options

Who is cross-border telemedicine for?

People who live outside the UAE

If you’re considering travelling to the UAE for treatment, cross-border telemedicine lets you speak to a specialist before deciding on your next step. For non-UAE residents, the consultation is advisory only, in line with UAE Telehealth Standards.

UAE residents travelling or staying abroad

If you live in the UAE but are currently outside the country, you may be able to access Mediclinic Middle East telemedicine services as normal, subject to applicable regulations and insurance coverage.

Frequently asked questions

Cross-border telemedicine lets you speak to a Mediclinic Middle East specialist before travelling to the UAE for treatment. It gives you an opportunity to have your case reviewed, discuss possible treatment options, and understand whether care in the UAE may be suitable for you.

You can ask a Mediclinic Middle East specialist to review your medical reports, imaging, and history and give their view on your condition and the treatment options that may be available. We’ll guide you through sharing what’s needed. As with an assessment call, this is advisory if you’re not a UAE resident.

If you’re not a UAE resident, your cross-border telemedicine consultation is advisory only, in line with UAE Telehealth Standards. Your specialist can review your condition and discuss possible options, but the consultation itself is not a treatment appointment.

We’ll let you know exactly what is needed for your consultation. This may include information about your medical history, along with relevant reports, imaging, or other records that will help your specialist understand your condition. You’ll also need to complete the required registration and consent.

If you’d like to move forward, our International Patients team can help you plan the next stage of your care. They can support you with treatment arrangements, appointments, and the practical details of travelling to the UAE.

If you’re a UAE resident who is temporarily outside the country, you may be able to access Mediclinic Middle East telemedicine services while you’re away. Availability will depend on applicable regulations and your insurance coverage.

That depends on your insurer, plan, residency status, and the service you need. If you’re unsure, check with your insurer or contact the Mediclinic Middle East team before arranging your consultation.
